Giant Pandas and more

It is now Thursday morning here in Chongqing. We will soon be preparing for what will likely be an emotional day as we travel to see Brooklyn's orphanage.

Yesterday was a busy day. First we made a visit to the zoo.

We got to see the giant pandas

 the red pandas

and the hippopotamus

among other animals.

We also had some great bonding time.LLook at this picture of Brooklyn.

Brooklyn finally let Daddy get a little bit away from Mama with her for  short time without screaming.

After leaving the zoo we went to Walmart. We  bought a stroller, some clothes, and a few things for the orphanage. We then went to see a tea ceremony and got to sample various kinds of tea. some was even naturally sweet. From there we went to a place where you get a view of the city. Unfortunately it was hazy so the view wasn't great. Near this site is the Chonqing city tree. It is a 500 year old banyan tree.

Chiang Kaishek also had a beautiful home here. it included pictures of him and Mao together at the house for negotiations.

We finished off the day with a nap and play time in the room.

With that I will wish you good day from Chongqing, China!
